Refund Policy

1. Summary

If you are a UK consumer, you have the right to cancel a new subscription within 14 days of purchase and get a refund of that payment. If you use the paid features during that window, the refund is prorated or waived — see section 3.

2. The statutory 14-day cooling-off period

Under the UK Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you can cancel the contract for any reason within 14 calendar days of subscribing. This is the "cooling-off period".

3. Digital services: "start now" consent

Arden's paid features are digital services. If you ask us to start delivering them before the 14 days are up, and you confirm that you understand you lose the right to cancel once delivery begins, you waive the cooling-off right for work already done. You can still cancel future renewals at any time.

If you do not give that consent, you keep the 14-day right but we will not activate paid features until the window expires.

4. How to request a refund

Email support@applywitharden.com from the address on your account, with:

  • The email address associated with the subscription.
  • The date you subscribed.
  • The reason (optional — it helps us improve, but we do not require it inside the 14-day window).

We aim to respond within two working days and process approved refunds to the original payment method within 14 days.

5. Refunds outside the 14-day window

After the statutory cooling-off period we do not offer pro-rata refunds for the remainder of the paid month or year. You can cancel future renewals at any time from the Profile page; you will keep access to paid features until the end of the current billing period.

We will still consider refunds outside the 14-day window on a case-by-case basis if the Service failed to perform as described or was materially unavailable — email us with the details.

6. Chargebacks

Please contact us before raising a chargeback with your bank. Chargebacks incur processing fees and leave less money for the business, which is especially painful for a small sole trader. In almost every case we can resolve the issue faster and more fully than your card issuer would.

7. Relation to the Terms of Service

This Refund Policy forms part of our Terms of Service. Nothing in this policy affects your statutory consumer rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
